Q. How do I find articles for education?

To find education articles you can use the search box on the library homepage (https://studentlogin.aiuniv.edu/portal/5/library/pages/libraryhome.aspx), but I would suggest visiting the Find Articles and eBooks link at the top-left of the library homepage and choosing an education-specific database to search in. ERIC and Education Research Complete are our primary education databases and cover most education subject areas.

You should consider what information you are looking for and form that into a question (Such as: “Does engagement improve student retention?”).

Take that question and identify the key subjects, then use those as search keywords. (Example: For the above question I might use: engagement, student, retention). In your search results, there are filters to the left. You can use those to limit to Journal Articles. You may also need to search a few times using words that mean similar things to those you have already used. (For example, instead of ‘engagement’ you might use ‘events’).

If you need additional help, use the contact information on this page to contact the library!
