How do I set up a title page in APA?
Answer
Your font should be size 12, Times New Roman. You want your paragraph text to be double-spaced (highlight your text, hold CTRL while you press 2 on the keyboard) and you want the text on your title page to be centered. You will need to space down about four times, then type in (on separate lines), your paper title, your name, American Intercontinental University, and the date you are submitting the assignment.
You will also need to set up a header by scrolling up and clicking in the uppermost portion of that page. This will open up a Header formatting option in the MS Word options ribbon at the top (far right). Click in there, click on the checkbox for ‘different first page’. Now go to Page Number, Top of Page, Number 3. Now type in Running head: (formatted just like that, with the colon), followed by your paper title in all caps. If your title doesn’t’ fit, you can shorten it.
