How do I write a literature review?

A literature review is generally written like an informative paper. Your goal is to summarize the literature you have reviewed, the findings and conclusions within, and to explain and present those to your reader. As such, it is formatted much like a normal APA paper rather than being in a reference-list format like an annotated bibliography. It shares some of the same elements, as you will summarize many of the findings from your readings; but instead of only being summaries of each entry (as with an annotated bibliography), you should try to tie your writings together in a more narrative format. Identify conclusions or implications that are shared across many different sources. Point out if any of them disagree or offer alternative points of view. Your literature review should also include a References list at the end.
