What is a database?

Answer

In terms of library research, a database is an online collection of resources. These can be books, articles, newspapers, etc. There are both general databases (which have resources in many subject areas) and subject-specific databases (which have resources focused on one subject area). Databases are often the best place for finding scholarly research information.
