Why are my appendices not showing up in my table of contents?
In the dissertation template, the appendices are not showing in the table of contents. How do I fix it?

You have stumbled across a very touchy feature of Word! The table of contents is created using the Styles section in Word’s Home ribbon. If you click into the References header in your document, you’ll see the “APA Level 1” option is selected in the Styles ribbon. However, if you click into regular (not header) text, the CTU Normal is selected.
Here's how to fix it. Go to each header you want in the table of contents, click in it, and then click on APA Level 1 in the styles ribbon. Then update the table of contents.
